about

This is truly when the Antifolk sound took hold in my music. When I moved to NYC in 1986, I gravitated to the new (at the tine) Antifolk scene by playing acoustic versions of Hardcore songs I had written a few years back (for Savage Amused & Poisoning). By the 90's, I had started to develop a sound where the acoustic guitar could be as cutting as a stack of Marshalls, due to the songwriting and arrangements. There is also accordion (my first instrument) on quite a few tracks. Still, there is always some distorted element in there too. I play some of these songs live to this day. Many tracks were thought to have been lost and hadn't seen the light of day for a quarter century, many for the first time.
